Country Coordinator – Kenya
Responsibilities
The Country coordinator is responsible for implementing MCI’s commercial and marketing strategy in Kenya as part of the MCI Africa Plan. The coordinator will work closely the Africa Plan Team at MCI headquarters and relevant stakeholders in the country.
Specifically, the incumbent will:
– Coordinate and implement MCI’s commercial and marketing strategy in Kenya.
– Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders including relevant authorities, MCI distributors, veterinary private practitioners, cooperatives and professional associations to promote branding of MCI products and facilitate their distribution in the country.
– Follow up and monitor the registration process of MCI products with national regulatory authorities.
– Supervise and manage the network of outreach and extension agents and vaccination teams and other MCI network actors in the field to ensure high-quality service delivery.
– Collaborate with MCI distributors to develop an annual action plan encompassing technical and marketing activities, awareness and communication campaigns, pilot vaccinations, post vaccination monitoring, training sessions and commercial events.
– Represent MCI at relevant national technical and marketing events.
– In coordination with the MCI Commercial Manager, conduct market research and collect, analyze and synthesize relevant data.
– With the support of MCI Technical Department, deliver specific training programs to outreach and extension teams.
– Prepare and submit monthly reports to the AFRICA Plan Team at MCI Headquarters, detailing achievements, business development activities, budget expenditures, implementation challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
– Travel within Kenya as needed to fulfil the required tasks.
– Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Africa Plan Team at MCI.
Profile Requirements:
– A qualified veterinarian or equivalent with experience in working in commercial and marketing activities
– Solid understanding of the veterinary marketing network in the country.
– Familiarity with product registration procedures and the operations of national veterinary services.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Proven track record in developing and implementing successful business development plans.
– Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service.
– Skilled in setting, executing, and achieving marketing initiative goals.
Language Requirements:
– Proficient in English (working level).
